About the role

As a Project Accounting Administrator at ORTEC you are part of a unique organization and team. ORTEC companies around the world are independently responsible for their administration and management activities. You will be working for an ORTEC business unit at our Atlanta, GA office.

What you will do:

You are the link between business and administration, where you translate what consultants are doing. You will be included in updates about the customers and projects. You support the financial side of these projects, but also business side. You work in a process-oriented manner on the projects and you are given a lot of responsibility from the start and space to organize your work the way you want, of course within certain frameworks. You come up with initiatives and improvement proposals and are often allowed to implement them immediately. You are also involved in monthly closings and invoicing.

About the profile

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited school is required (accounting degree is preferred). Successful Project Accounting Administrators display a combination of both technical and personal skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Managing the order and project administration. Activating project revenue, project costs and invoice processing
  • Support consultants and project managers with checking quotes, contracts, PO requisitions and a variety of other tasks
  • Proper processing of invoices through third party procurement systems
  • Reporting, reconciling, and analyzing project results (revenue, budget, margins, WIP), so that projects are measured and controlled properly
  • Support Credit Management
  • And other various tasks

Personal and professional skillset:

  • Experience with financial or ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Good knowledge of relevant financial guidelines and processes
  • Strong analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive and pro-active attitude
  • Practical and hands-on mentality
  • Collaborative working style and ability to work independently
  • Work well under pressure with accuracy
  • Willingness to learn and contribute immediately
