THE COMPANY

ORBIS Compliance is an established leader in the field of regulatory compliance. We provide consulting services to companies who sell their products worldwide and assist them in complying with the regulations required for market entry into their countries of interest. This can involve product testing, labeling, translations, certification paperwork and logistics/Customs efforts.

ORBIS counts several Fortune100 companies among its clients and has been growing its team, customer base, and revenues at a rate of 50% per year for several years now. We have offices in the United States and 3 Latin American countries, and our primary focus is Latin America.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

ORBIS is expanding the Finance Team in order to accommodate higher transaction volume as well as to provide a higher level of service and engagement with existing and new accounts. This is a key role within the Company.

ORBIS is seeking experienced full-time Finance professionals who are detail-oriented, confident, articulate, professional and capable of independently managing and executing on strategic finance initiatives and day-to-day transactional processing and creating reports for data analysis.

The successful candidate will not only assist with standard day-to-day transactions like creating quotes, invoices, accounts payable, and account reconciliation in QuickBooks, but will also work on various strategic finance initiatives that are key to the Company’s future. These could include Time and Expense Analysis, Services Pricing Analysis, financial analysis for existing or new subsidiary offices in other countries and understanding corporate tax law in those countries, interfacing with accountants and lawyers in those countries, competitive analysis, Project Financial Analysis, and creating reports for the CEO and CPA.

Because of ORBIS’s steady growth, many new opportunities for personal and professional growth will be constantly available as the department adapts to support evolving business needs.  There is always a new Finance Team initiative underway, presenting many opportunities to learn.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES CAN INCLUDE (Depending on Experience)

- Pay subcontractors and vendors

- Quickbooks expense entry and reconciliation with bank account and credit cards.

- Generate draft invoices for key customers

- Assist with Sales commissions tracking

- Payroll

- Report generation and financial analysis and recommendations

- Monthly presentation to CEO

- Services pricing table analysis

- Financial process improvement

 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.

- At least 5 years experience with QuickBooks in a corporate environment (not home).

- Precise writing skills to create solid emails and other documents like reports and statements of account.

- Computer literacy with spreadsheets, presentations and documents (Windows or Apple).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Spanish-language fluency (written and spoken) is REQUIRED.

- Ability to work in both small and large teams effectively.

- 5 years in Finance/Accounting.

- Strong English communication skills - verbal, listening, and written.

- Excellent time management skills.

- Ability to manage your own time and be driven, organized, and high-energy.

This is a full-time 40 hours per week position with overtime pay beyond 40 hours.
