Our Account Director/Senior Account Director, Business Development is expected to deliver business development activities across OPEN Health Centers of Excellence (CoEs) including Publications, Medical Communications, Learning & Development, and Advertising by driving client growth plans, providing stewardship for new business pitches, contributing to outbound prospecting, and selling company expertise to potential clients.

As part of the New Business Development team, you'll be responsible for the following activities (including but not limited to):
  • Collaborating with our New Business Development and Marketing teams, Strategic Services, and CoE account teams
  • Driving client growth plans by supporting targeted NBD initiatives and cultivating strategic partnerships with a goal of supporting revenue growth and diversity of services
  • Facilitating the building and implementation of a detailed new business plan in coordination with the Client Growth team, and report and monitor its efficacy and progress to leadership
  • Acting as steward of pitch process and new business excellence for allocated pitches, proposals, and prospects
  • Actively supporting (and leading when needed) OPEN Health pitches to ensure adherence to processes and collaborative, strategic thinking throughout pitch development
  • Identifying, cultivating, and leveraging client relationships across OPEN Health, as well as identifying new contacts and leads
  • Providing training and support to CoEs to build NBD culture and opportunity generation plans, making the most of their contacts
  • Ensuring that clients receive a distinctive brand experience throughout the NBD process
  • Delivering outbound and lead generation activities aligned to OPEN Health target client strategies, including but not limited to:
    • Managing personal network of contacts and driving opportunities
    • Selling at conferences; driving opportunities and identifying new contacts
    • Preparing, tailoring, and presenting credentials/capabilities at meetings
  • Partnering with CoE teams/business unit leads to define and continually refine new business strategies
  • Identifying and promoting the needs and priorities of OPEN Health practices and its target clients (attending regular CoE new business meetings)
  • Overseeing completion of RFIs

What you'll bring:
  • Advanced Life Sciences degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO) from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 3 years (Associate Director) or 5 years (Director) of experience working in a Medical Affairs consultancy or medical communications agency, or within the Medical Affairs division of a pharmaceutical company
  • In-depth experience in the delivery of key offerings related to medical and/or value communications
  • Ability to synthesize complex market and/or product information and distill key learnings and insights into meaningful, actionable strategic recommendations
  • Proven project management, time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including outstanding presentation development and delivery skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing challenges, issues, and priorities with the ability to delegate, problem solve, and set clear expectations
  • Enthusiastic, team player, self-motivated attitude and demeanor
  • Working knowledge of MS365 programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
