Certified nurse assistants (CNAs) perform basic healthcare duties in hospitals and healthcare facilities under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The nurse assistant provides direct bedside nursing, and delivers care for patients, including dressing, bathing, assisting with toilet use, and feeding the patient. The nurse assistant also assists in lifting and moving the patient. In addition, nurse assistants take and record patients’ vital signs, help the cognitively impaired, and help manage the patient treatment regimens under supervision.
· High school diploma or GED
· Qualifying scores on reading and math competency tests
· CPR certification
· Health Requirements (i.e. Up to date TB, vaccines, etc.)
· Current CNA License in the State of Georgia
Experience: 1-2 years preferred

· Patient Rights
· Medical Ethics
· Medical Terminology
· Infection Guidelines
· Knowledge of diseases
· Pre- and Post-operative Care Procedures
· Patient Hygiene
· Patient Communication
*Vocational schools and community colleges offer programs that include classroom education and a clinical rotation. Coursework taken as part of a RN or LPN degree program may also satisfy CNA training requirements.
Salary commensurate with experience.
