Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager (Mechanical)

We are a growing overhead conveyor company seeking a project engineer to manage overhead conveyor projects along with fabricated materials.

This engineer is responsible for the design and installation of our large overhead systems.

Tasks include:

-Lead projects from inception to customer acceptance

-Laying out system in AutoCad per customer requirements

-Working with the customer to design the material handling system per their requirements

-Serve as point of contact with customer on material handling projects.

-Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems

-Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met.

-Assist with installation and provide engineering supervision at customer's facilities

-Develop Bill of Materials

-Design custom components for systems

-Design steel and support structure utilizing FEA tools

-Develop manuals and spare parts list for the system

-Develop fabrication drawings for the in house fab shop

Requirements:

5+ years of experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

- AutoCAD.

-Manufacturing background required.

- Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Must have basic understanding of statics, dynamics, machine design, and materials.

- Must be able to understand mechanical drawings.

- Technical writing and typing skills.

- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.

- Ability to visualize concepts and be attentive to detail.

- Self-motivated and multi-task oriented, with a strong work ethic.

- Basic shop skills are required.
