Job Description

Purchasing Inventory manager will be responsible for overall shop operations.  This includes the shop condition, inventory security, and organization. Accurate inventory management is key to the jobs progressing smoothly while reducing technician and client frustration.  There will also be time to add new products and grow online sales.  

The following are details for Inventory Management

  • Maintain an accurate count of product in inventory 

    • Keep inventory lists updated 

    • Put controls in place for incoming and outgoing inventory

  • Ship parts to techs globally

    • Establish cost effective and time efficient policy delivery methods

  • Prepare parts for jobs upcoming by tagging and put on location

  • Pick up parts from local suppliers

    • Develope a delivery system to OCMI from vender

  • Maintain inventory levels to insure commonly used products are available

    • Submit an order request form that needs to be authorized by upper management  

  • Fusion System (Describe) 

    • Build accurate inventory list for project management

    • Maintain retail costs for accurate invoicing 

  • Future - set up and manage inventory in Seattle

  • Keep shop cleaned and organized 

  • Limited to no client communication unless through online parts sales

  • Implement inventory management aging report for all inventory 

  • OCNW

    • Send products from inventory or distributors to Seattle

    • Log sales to OCNW

    • Fulfill orders from estimates on client approval

    • Communicate with Seattle on project timing - Storage is limited

  • Communicate when all parts for a project have arrived and scheduling can commence.  

The following are details for Purchasing Management

  • Return unused parts by creating RMA

    • Sell on Amazon or Ebay parts unable to return

  • Building and maintaining relationships with distributors 

    • Obtaining volume incentives

    • Rapid fulfillment

  • Support Seanet with Absolute and Solaris parts directly from manufacturer

  • Determine products to hold on hand - Submit purchase order

  • Manage inventory costs

  • Price adjustment products to get for the best price

  • Find new international distributors to sell products in the US

  • Custom/rare part orders

  • Standardize Job costs for estimates

  • Calculate Job cost for management

  • Increase parts listed on European Boat Parts 

  • Add and maintain parts sales on Amazon
