We are partnering with this independent game developer based out of Seattle, Washington. They pride themselves on being multi-dimensional as they work on many games with different genres and arts styles. In addition to developing their own games, they partner with a couple of the largest gaming companies in North America, as they are a certified developer across all major platforms.
We are looking for a talented Senior Environment Artist to join our client on their worldly-recognizable project. Joining one of the top battle royale games that focuses on a light, stylized art style this person will create stylized visuals and stunning in-game assets that will bring their game to life through new story-driven environments & live events to millions of daily users.
What You'll Do:
Support the artistic vision of the Art Director and achieve project goals by creating inspiring visuals and stunning environmental art from concept
Provide mentorship to your team by assisting in improving processes and giving feedback
Maintain a high level of quality while working within design constraints and balancing game performance
Collaborate with various departments to solve visual and technical challenges
Experience in Worldbuilding components, Set Dressing, Prop Creation
Design complex levels that have their own aspects and art style
What You'll Bring:
Excellent communication, documentation, and self-management skills
Ability to build positive, empathetic, and self-aware working relationships
Willingness to keep up with new technological developments in environment art and the games industry
Deep knowledge of industry-standard tools, including Zbrush, Substance, Autodesk Suite, misc.
Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 is strongly preferred
Minimum Requirements
5 years of professional gaming work experience -or- 2 shipped/credited AAA titles.
Experience working on different aspects of the environment art pipeline.
