Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs. Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality to ensure all policies and procedures are handled appropriately. The Human Resources Manager will manage the Human Resources staff and guide their development.


  • Recruiting and staffing
  • Departmental planning
  • Performance management and improvement plans
  • Organization development
  • Employment and compliance with regulatory concerns
  • Employee onboarding, development, and training
  • Employee offboarding
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Employee relations and company communication
  • Compensation and benefit administration
  • Payroll processing – U.S. and Canada
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and heath
  • Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance
  • Develop and monitor an annual budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition, and benefits administration
  • Supervises Human Resources consultants, training specialist, and coordinates company use of insurance brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators, and other outside sources
  • Continuously monitors all policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed and current
  • Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings
  • Leads development of benefit orientations and other benefit training for employees
  • Handles all company compliance with existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements; EEO, ERISA, ACA, 5500, OSHA, American Red Cross Training, Worker’s Compensation, 401K
  • FMLA preparation, administration, and monitoring
  • Oversee company travel
  • Oversee company ordering
  • Executes reporting required by the CFO of the company
  • Review and request building maintenance


  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead and develop HR department staff members
  • Ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensations programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes
  • Excellent organizational management skills
  • Evidence of the ability to practice and coach organization managers in the practice of a high level of confidentiality
