Job Description

FUNCTION:Responsible for daily management of Front Office and acts as liaison between Hotel Department and other Nugget Departments.  Supervision of all assigned personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities stated below are subject to established procedures and company policies.

  • Responsible for daily management of the Front Office.
  • Processes incoming mail, refunds and commissions.
  • Stocks supplies as needed.
  • Assists Accounting Department, Credit Department, and Sales Department with guest inquiries regarding Hotel billings.
  • Clears house accounts and city ledger accounts at end of each month.
  • Assists the Hotel Manager with accounting research and other related matters. Assist Reservation Department with information and research as needed.
  • Always conducts themselves in a professional manner that reflects positively on the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Handle administrative duties as assigned. These are to include incentive tracking as well as keeping complete and up to date employee files.
  • Maintain safe and comfortable working conditions.
  • Monitor overages and shortages.  Attend to any problems in shift closings.
  • Organize and help to coordinate tracking for specific event functions.
  • Maintains files for forecasts and occupancy statistics and provides relevant data upon request.
  • Supervise daily payroll records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS:  Reports to the Vice President of Hotel Operations and the Hotel Manager.

PREFERRED BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:        High School graduate or GED required.  Some college preferred

EXPERIENCE:                     1-2 years Hotel experience at a large property in Front Desk operations and/or reservations.  Computer experience, typing, knowledge of accounting basics and general clerical skills. Knowledge of AS400 and Microsoft Office are required.
