Job Description

Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee the planning, implementation, managing and running of all finance related activities for the company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations. The candidate’s strong experience across healthcare, life sciences, and technology to lead, and execute dynamic business strategies will act as an accelerant for our already rapid growth. The CFO will protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth, as well as execute multiple high impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goal.


  • Be a business partner to the CEO and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team Contribute to financial strategic plans and delivering results
  • Develop financial models to assist in the decision making process
  • Ensures achievement of business/functional financial targets by monitoring spending, providing insight and early warning
  • Identifies and monitors areas of risk and/or opportunity and their financial impact on the business/function
  • Develops specific business metrics and KPIs that support timely and actionable information flow for daily operational and long-term strategic planning purposes
  • Oversee processes for the monitoring of risks and opportunities and interim changes to manage working P&L between forecasts
  • Responsible for processes to provide business/financial analysis and decision support that allows management to evaluate alternatives, make fact-based decisions, and evaluate the consequences of decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations in support of Business Unit, including monthly Management Business Reviews and semi-annual deep-dive Business Unit reviews Understands business partner/client markets and translates strategy into proactive plans to enable successful achievement of business results
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets
  • Provide strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury
  • Ensure that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization
  • Defines corporate vision and strategy to establish company direction and focus
  • Identify problems, analyze information, develop alternative approaches, and recommend solutions in matters related to financial management
  • Organize and delegate tasks, set priorities, and establish workflow
  • Work effectively in a team environment that emphasizes creativity, self-direction and active decision making participation by providing constructive feedback and support
  • Work in an environment of constantly changing priorities and to alternate between projects and tasks to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Analyze financial information, practices and procedures, recognize relationships among proposals, define problems, formulate logical conclusions, develop alternative solutions and implement recommendations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general and public accounting, principles, practices and theories
  • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for growth


  • 4-year business degree plus MBA CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in executive management and finance
  • 10+ years of experience engaging with investors and a strong track record of creating positive relations with the investor community
  • Proven capital raise and public interest experience
  • Broad experience with domestic finance function
  • Well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to investment banking operations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills based on a broad spectrum of business experiences in various industries
  • Excellent data analytical skills required; experience working with data analytics software such as PowerBI, strongly preferred
  • Ability to drive change in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Tough minded negotiator
