WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / BACKUP DRIVER

Position Purpose:

Warehouse duties include using RF scanning system to stock and pull materials, equipment, and other items for shipping or delivery.

Truck Driving duties are as needed and include delivering material, product and equipment within the sales territory for the distribution center.

Required Experience:

• Sitdown Forklift Driving: 1 year (Required)
• Order Picker Driving: 1 year (Required)
• Driving: 1 year (Required)
• Warehouse: 2 years (Required)
• Materials handling: 1 year (Preferred)
• Shipping/Receiving: 2 years (Preferred)
• RF Scanner: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

· Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy or incoming or outgoing shipment

· Confers and corresponds with supervisors or sales representatives to resolve problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications

· Stores materials, equipment and supplies to maintain inventory of stock

· General housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in warehouse

· Delivers or routes materials to shipping or delivery area in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet, jacks, and lift-trucks

· Makes deliveries as needed to customers in the sales territory in an efficient manner, minimizing the time away from the warehouse while driving the vehicle in a safe & courteous manner.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

· Must have a clean 3-year driving history with no DWI

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

· Good knowledge of basic math and reading skills

· Active listening skills in order to understand instructions

· Must be able to drive a lift truck

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Comfortable walking and standing for more than 80% of the work day.

· Must be able to drive a sitdown forklift.

· Ability to read a map and follow directions to customer sites

Reports to: Warehouse/Department Lead or Warehouse Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
