Develop strategies to identify and recruit applicants for exempt and nonexempt positions. Ensuring staffing processes are cost effective and time sensitive. Assist hiring managers with the interview process. Provide proactive follow up with job applicants.
Develop and place job postings on website using PeopleSoft as well as all other media resources including but not limited to: on-line employment boards, social media, job fairs and staffing agencies.
Review and screen all sourced and incoming resumes using an applicant PeopleSoft. Perform pre-screen interviews in person, phone and/or via web cam connection. Conduct behavioral based interviews with applicants matching open positions based on criteria set forth by the hiring manager/Human Resources, job description and other reference/assessment tools. Correspond with applicants and schedule all candidates selected for interviews as well as send correspondence to those not selected. Maintain current status or disposition of each applicant within the applicant tracking system.
Provide candidates with realistic job preview and basic benefits information. Gather relevant information about the candidate and manage applicant expectations. Assess applicant¿s qualifications based on work experience, education, behavioral interview results and overall fit for employment with the hiring department and company. Provide feedback from interviews to the hiring manager.
Work with the Compensation Team in developing salary job offers for selected candidates and notates the salary offer within the applicant tracking system. Extend and negotiate salary job offers with selected candidates.
Handle background check and new hire paperwork such as criminal record checks/employment verification/education verification, reference checks and pre-employment drug tests. Gather payroll and personnel file documents such as W4, I9, direct deposit and personal contact/emergency contact data.
Counsel hiring managers concerning employment laws, regulations and practices as well as communicate recruitment status updates, policies and procedures.
Build and maintain a relationship with various staffing/temporary agencies, present staffing needs to find the best candidates.
Plan, coordinate and execute recruitment job fair events as necessary.
Perform other job related functions as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 3 to 5 years work experience recruiting in a medium to large organization that includes using different techniques to source candidates: Internet, advertising, referrals, social media, networking, cold calls, etc. Experience must include using an applicant tracking system such as PeopleSoft and conducting behaviorally-based interviews.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software. Demonstrated knowledge in using an applicant tracking system such as PeopleSoft. Good knowledge across Human Resources disciplines and applicable Federal, State and local laws pertaining to employment, recruitment and Human Resource management. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to provide professional and timely customer service to Human Resources' internal and external customers. Strong and efficient workload management skills to include planning, organizing, prioritizing and following through on a variety of tasks. Good judgment and problem solving skills. Ability to maintain a professional composure while working under stress and pressure. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of data. Ability to work in a professional manner within a team environment.
