They are responsible for overall service throughout their area. When services require additional personnel, they will coordinate and assist with the work as needed. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics * Ensure all actions are consistent with Northwestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives * Communicate verbally to maintain safety on worksite and during emergency situations * Troubleshoot power outages, utility concerns and power quality issues * Perform low or high-voltage electrical work and meter-related service work as needed * Perform sustained work at heights including on ladders and poles, and in buckets * Locate underground services * Delivery non pay notices and perform connects and disconnects for non-payment * Perform service temporary connects/disconnects at the customer's request * Install and remove overhead and underground lines * Frame, install, or replace poles * Perform rubber-gloving techniques to safely service high voltage lines and equipment * Repair street and company owned lighting * Set, check, replace, and remove meters to monitor electrical consumption * Interact with the public and help resolve customer-billing and community involvement * Complete documentation as required * Assume leadership role in response to emergency situations * Plan projects and direct crews to complete work in day to day and emergency situations * Work as a team member to safely and efficiently complete work activities * Assist in snow removal to maintain access to utility equipment * Shovel to dig or backfill trenches for underground services, setting poles, etc. * Work overtime including call out availability for evenings and weekends -especially in response to acute service needs * Respond from home to primary work location within 15 minutes * Lift and manipulate needed equipment weighing up to 75 pounds * Maintain company buildings and facilities at work locations, including shop upkeep and snow removal MARGINAL WORK FUNCTIONS * These functions may be considered essential based on location and other factors.
