Job Description

40 hours/week, Full-time

Salary Non-Exempt

1st shift, 4-10 hour shifts, Monday – Thurs, 6AM - 4:30PM & Friday 7AM-Noon,45 hours/week

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Lead, Manage and hold Quality Assurance Technicians Accountable. Using Analytical Skills, drive quality improvements. Compiles inspection reports for customers. Inspect machining, fabricated, or assembled parts for defects, and deviations from specifications. Lead MRB meetings. Supports production and engineering areas. Prioritize critical needs in a fast-paced environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Prioritize work for inspectors
• Work with customer engineering
• Review PO quality requirements per contract review
• Understand and Create quality process plan documentation for part manufacturing
• Create sampling plans
• Complete FMEA’s
• Complete PPAP’s and first piece inspection layouts when needed
• Understand and drive an SPC culture
• Use control charts in the production quality process
• Perform Design of Experiments
• Gage Calibration
• Manage the NCR / Corrective Action processes
• Understand the lot certification process and send documents to customers
• Working knowledge of Regulatory requirements including standards within, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, RoHS, REACH, ITAR & NIST
• Do internal quality audits
• Verify certifications: Material, subcontractors, etc
• Perform subcontractor Quality Audits and work with them to improve their quality
• Responsible to track quality goals
• Do Pareto analysis

EDUCATION LEVEL: Manufacturing, Engineering or Machine Technical Diploma degree desired

EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 10 years quality Control Experience in a precision Machine shop environment
• Minimum 3 years as a supervisor or lead
• Experience with surface testers, optical comparators, bore gauges, indicators, hardness testers, and other inspection equipment.
• Effective communication skills
• Thorough understanding and use of GD&T
• Strong computer skills including, word processing, spreadsheets and databases
• Excellent communication skills (written & Verbal)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Light to moderate physical demands. 20% standing, 40% sitting, 40% walking
