What will you be doing?
As a Senior Manager you will define and develop our social media program and drive its execution, provide brand oversight within our internal communications, and partner to develop a local community strategy. You will create a cohesive social media and online/offline community strategy based on the company's brand promise, company and product value propositions, customer data, market and competitive trends.  You will be responsible for evangelizing social and community engagement across the business in order to ensure social execution is integrated across the board, from PR, internal communications, demand generation, campaign extensions, customer service and local community engagements.

Job Duties:
  • Grow audiences on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • Find unique and creative ways to bridge social media communities with local community engagements
  • Work cross-functionally to present a cohesive and compelling brand experience to our target prospects in order to build awareness, engagement, and sales
  • For existing customers and employees, increase engagement and loyalty
  • Develop a local community engagement plan that fits with the company’s culture and way of operating
  • Set, plan and implement social media campaigns and sustainment programs that support company initiatives and increase engagement
  • Maintain a social media posting schedule that is supportive of the Editorial Calendar
  • Maintain a brand voice while still adapting it to different platforms when creating platform-specific content including text posts, videos, and graphics
  • Establish community guidelines and moderate to ensure it’s a good brand experience for all members Be responsive and get involved with community
  • Work with analytics including social listening to regularly evaluate and improve our social media and local community effectiveness through a deep understanding of our customer and their preferences
  • Share relevant social media and community building trends and best practices with the broader organization
  • Make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media, marketing and community building 
  • 3+ years of experience in journalism and or public relations
  • 3+ years of experience working for companies or agencies that support northwest clients both big and small
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills that can be adapted for audiences at all levels across the organization
  • Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role
  • Comfortable writing social posts that are as short as 140 characters or blogs over 200 words
  • Experience planning and leading community initiatives
  • Experience successfully scaling a variety of local community programs across regional channels
  • Ability to extract insights from multiple data sources and translate them into actionable and measurable strategies and plans designed to build a lasting brand
  • Strong ability to challenge the status quo and pursue new ways of thought
  • Highly self-motivated and will thrive in ambiguity, in an environment that requires an ability to learn and adapt quickly
