Job Description: VP, Digital Marketing & InnovationThe VP, Digital Marketing & Innovation will have a defining leadership role on the Marketing and Communications Team identifying, presenting, managing and delivering technology solutions that are mobile-first, CRM-optimized and audience-growth-driving—in the service of NorthShore’s overall brand messages and business and growth goals.This VP position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will collaborate closely with senior peers on the CMO’s direct-report interdependent team as well as peers in the HIT department.This is a highly cross-functional role requiring both strategic and tactical execution and an innovative, “yes we can” mindset. This role requires someone who is a proven digital innovator, welcomes change, highly collaborative, an exceptional communicator who can make even the most complex tech accessible to non-techies, curious, kind and works to be a little better every single day. Must Have the Ability to: Build, lead, train and empower innovative digital marketing and tech strategy prioritizing audience growth, social media engagement, CRM, analytics, design, measurement and agile systems. This is a creative-thinking and strategic leadership role that requires the ability to operate at a 30,000-ft level and then dive into the grittiest of digital details, to ensure NorthShore is heading in the right direction and delivering a holistic, end-to-end solution for marketing and communications brand opportunities and challenges. Develop and implement bold program management, CRM and reporting/optimization disciplines whose successful application produces consistently high-quality, agile, results-driving marketing and communications programs that hit it out of the park, according to metrics you help set. Work in a collaborative, cross-functional way providing timely and measurably results-driving solutions to ever-evolving marketing and communications needs and opportunities. Problem-solve and possess the leadership skills to work with a range of stakeholders, including marketing team and HIT colleagues, executives, patients, donors and community leaders. Expertly lead, train and manage direct-report team of dev, social media, CRM and analytics experts. Easily explain the “why” and communicate context for tech decisions for platforms, software and CRM tools to external and external stakeholders. Job Responsibilities: COLLABORATE WITH HIT ON TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS and direct the execution of initiatives from inception through execution—in ways that are on strategy with the CMO’s vision and goals and the Marketing and Communications Team’s needs and goals.IMPLEMENT A BEST-IN-CLASS CRM solution that tracks Marketing and Communications Team’s goals: identifying, developing and tracking audience engagement, opportunities, gaps and optimizations—daily, weekly, monthly, annually. PARTNER WITH PEER MARKETING TEAM to identify internal and external audience needs and deliver scalable marketing and communications tech, social and digital products and platforms.CONFIDENTLY LEAD TEAM with expertise in infrastructure, operational, application and development.ITERATE CONCEPTS AND PROTOTYPES that are implemented quickly, excellently and consistently.DEVELOP AND MANAGE 3- to 5-YEAR ROADMAP of optimizations and updates for NorthShore tech and digital solutions, including brand website and social and digital products, including: CRM tools, newsletters, etc.PROACTIVELY MANAGE RESOURCE AND VENDOR models to ensure ready access to skills and capacity needed to meet market deadlines.DEVELOP ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEMS to increase overall efficacy of digital engineering functions.DEFINE AND MANAGE KEY METRICS AND ANALYTICS for measuring the performance of teams, CRM process, campaigns and products.LEAD AND MAKE DATA PRIVACY AND INFRASTRUCTURE decisions to ensure systems are scalable and secure.DEVELOP, TEST, FAIL FAST, FIX AND OPTIMIZE. Lead broader team to innovate rapidly in pursuit of next and new ideas that transform NorthShore brand experience.CHAMPION AND OPTIMIZE TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION. Must be able to provide and enable out-of-the-box thinking based on user needs and not be constrained by “what exists today.” Requirements: 10 years of experience driving innovation and results as VP, Technology or similar executive level playing a crucial role in tech solutions, product development, team management, data privacy and security, managing outsourced teams and building key stakeholder relationships with a history of solving complex technology and performance marketing problems. 7 years professional experience in building and leading teams Mastery of hospitals-related data privacy and security requirements. Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated success in conceiving and delivering health marketing solution for internal and external audiences. Demonstrated experience using data to inform decision making and strategy planning Familiarity with relevant technology, performance marketing, analytics, and CRM systems Experience developing a long-term technology roadmap that includes implementing short-term improvements in existing systems. Experience and knowledge of unique needs of marketing, communications, social media and content platforms and measurement approaches Proficiency in performance marketing and marketing automation systems Ability to masterfully manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment Experience engaging at an executive level with cross-functional groups Experience working with or in support of diverse communities Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software methodology Love to work in ambiguity and solve complex problems. Strong written and spoken communication skills, and desire to speak internally and externally. Must command technical respect—can dive into technical discussions, deeply understand and influence them while appreciating the decision-making processes that drive peer and stakeholders brand and business goals forward.
