AOA Xinetics (AOX), a wholly owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division Business Venture, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for a variety of applications. We are seeking a Procurement Analyst to support our Special Programs Business Area located in East Hartford, CT. Overview Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Procurement Analyst will work with program teams and supply chain staff to source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of the Special Programs business area. Responsibilities: Source and purchase material for government programs and general business operations Compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes Confer with suppliers and analyze suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records Prepare bid packages Work under very general supervision Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with three years related experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Detail oriented with ability to see the strategic vision Proficient with Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook) U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for employment Ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on DoD/Government programs Active Top Secret Clearance Physical Requirements: Occasional travel up to 10% of the time (between facilities Devens MA and East Hartford CT, vendor / customer visits, etc.) Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
