Propulsion Systems is recruiting for an **Electrician** with Electronics/Instrumentation to join its team at the **Bacchus (Magna), Utah** facility.
**Role description & Responsibilities:**
The maintenance electrician is responsible for the repair, modification and maintenance of a variety of electrical and electronic equipment. Has the knowledge and ability to install, troubleshoot and repair industrial control systems including PLC, CNC, SCADA, and Setup/Calibration instrumentation. Maintenance and repair of industrial electrical equipment including air compressors, Auto Claves, generators, AC & DC motor controllers, overhead cranes, camera systems, security and fire systems. Performs routine electronic preventative maintenance on plant equipment. An electronic maintenance technician also performs test readings using several different instruments, including semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, signal generators and digital multi meters.
Five years of working in industry as an Electronic technician.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent work ethic and ambition.
Working on equipment, including climbing ladders to access equipment on roofs in all weather, using man lifts and scissor lifts when necessary.
Valid driver license.
Maintenance activities to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, conducts preventative maintenance to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
Journeyman Electrician, Associates Degree or equivalent training in Electronics Technology.
Ability to read and troubleshoot using electrical/instrumentation schematics.
Familiar with machine control systems.
Familiar with AC/DC drives, VFD's, and servo systems.
Ability to troubleshoot machine control systems including PLCs.
Experience working with 480 Volt / 3 phase equipment.
Retrofit obsolete components and systems including controls.
Knowledge and experience using electronic test equipment including meters, data loggers, and instrumentation calibrators.
Identify the features and functions of controllers.
Understand pneumatic and electronic controllers.
Familiar with X-Ray systems.
