Position Announcement: Foundation Assistant

The NJC Foundation Assistant participates in the planning and implementation of strategies to achieve the fundraising goals of the NJC Foundation, and the day-to-day operations of the NJC Foundation office. The foundation assistant is first point of contact for donors and NJC personnel for foundation issues. The foundation assistant monitors communications and supports the correspondence system in support of the Foundation's mission. This person works closely with the NJC Foundation Executive and assists with the coordination of all Foundation events and functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring effective and timely coordination with donors and NJC personnel, including correspondence tracking
  • Managing a donor database and providing reports on giving
  • Assisting with the planning and organization of functions and special events
  • Managing scholarship balance and disbursement
  • Managing components of the department's budget
  • General office duties
  • Assists in Foundation marketing

Contract specifics:

This is an hourly professional position, with a schedule of 24-32 hours/week.

Salary: $18.00-$21.00 an hour. Salary range commensurate with education and experience.

Northeastern Junior College, one of 13 member-colleges of the Community Colleges of Colorado, lies in the rural northeastern Colorado town of Sterling. The community of approximately 14,000 residents enjoys easy access to Denver, the Rocky Mountains and the western-agricultural lifestyle. Northeastern Junior College enrolls approximately 900 full-time and 1,400 part-time students through a wide variety of majors in associate degree and certificate programs. As a residential campus with six residence halls accommodating 600 students, the college attracts students from throughout Colorado, many states and several foreign countries. Approximately 50 full-time and 45 part-time faculty comprise the teaching staff.
