Psychologist/Neuropsychologist

Northeast Family Services provides children and families with exceptional behavioral and mental health services. Our programs are dedicated to educating and empowering individuals through acceptance and respect towards his or her specific strengths and needs.

The Psychologist or Neuropsychologist is responsible for providing various neuropsychological and academic evaluations with a concentration in autism and learning disorders. The majority of clientele are children and adolescents although adults do occasionally present for evaluation. In addition to conducting evaluations, there will be opportunity to provide consultation to Northeast Family Services’ in-home treatment programs, school programs, and others. The Psychologist or Neuropsychologist will be a member of the overall treatment team, consulting and collaborating with the psychiatrist and psychotherapist on cases as needed. Full time and Fee For Service positions are available.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated expertise in psychological or neuropsychological evaluations.

  • Prior experience in providing school consultation for children with SLDs, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and medical concerns is a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with complex comorbid presentations including mood, anxiety, personality, and other psychiatric disorders

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups

  • Motivated self-starter with great attitude, flexibility, and independent spirit

  • Ability to work under pressure to prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines within a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Strong teamwork ethic; positive, flexible attitude; ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities.

    Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology

  • Completion of an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship

  • Current Massachusetts psychology license
