Job Title: Deli Kitchen Worker

Supervisor: C-store Manager
Summary Serves food from counters and steam tables to patrons. Maintains kitchen work areas and equipment and utensils in clean and orderly. Prepares and cooks to order foods requiring short preparation time by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Serves salads, vegetables, meat, breads, ladles soups and sauces, portions desserts, and fills beverage cups and glasses as indicated by customer over the counter. Replenishes foods at serving stations. Brews coffee and tea. Carves meat. Prepares sandwiches. Prepares salads and slices meats and cheese. Uses fryers, ovens, holding cabinets, slicers, knives, and all other related kitchen equipment.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ServSafe Certification or able to get ServSafe Certification
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills No skills needed. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
