Role Description
The Client Engagement Manager will manage NCG client engagement service delivery on multiple simultaneous efforts. The Client Engagement Manager will be accountable for tracking contractual delivery commitments and managing professional staff assignment, quality control, and timeframe commitments. The Client Engagement Manager will coordinate with Client Relationship owners to ensure successful project execution as well as the continuing development of strong client relationships.
The Client Engagement Manager will drive delivery efforts and leverage professional service team members to optimize efforts and deliver the best levels of client satisfaction possible. As a Client Engagement Manager at NCG, you will be a part of a diverse team dedicated to providing valuable results for program accomplishment through advisement and operational deliverables tailored to each unique client circumstance. You will also have opportunity to support firm growth with new client relationship development.
The position is based out of NCG’s Headquarters in Portland, Maine.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Management of professional staff client service and deliverable delivery across multiple client engagements.
- Track client contractual commitments and ensure production schedules and client interaction are in place and effective to meet commitments.
- Oversee professional staff performance on client engagements in support to service and deliverable delivery.
- Understand project goals and objectives and develop detailed work plans to meet client expectations.
- Manage professional staff that includes teams of Consultants, Analysts, and Project Managers working across a broad range of technical, business, and regulatory areas to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular status meetings with staff to manage project progress and address any concerns.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the project, escalating issues as necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Client Relationship owners ensuring effective project execution and the quality of the deliverables.
- Review and quality check project deliverables before they are released to the client.
- Monitor project financials, including invoicing and billing, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide input on staffing needs for new projects, and manage consultant utilization across multiple engagements.
- Manage professional development, training, and provide mentorship and guidance to members of the professional staff teams.
- Participate in NCG initiatives and contribute positively to our team environment.
Skills
A Client Engagement Manager will have experience in the overall structuring of professional services/consulting projects, performing the detailed planning, and managing project execution for service and deliverable delivery. This includes overseeing service and deliverable production, tracking tasks and milestones, tracking effort and expense outlays, scheduling roles and resources, and managing risks and issues.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of consulting industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a management role
- Masters-level degree preferred; Bachelors-level degree required
- Project services and deliverable production delivery is required
- Professional services resource management experience is required
- Banking/Financial services and mergers and acquisition experience is highly preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- System integration, cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance are experience is preferred
