Senior Cost Accountant / Accounting Manager

Location: Greenville, SC

Salary: $110k to $125k plus bonus depending on experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant / Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the cost accounting function, as well as overseeing general accounting and financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

•Manage and oversee the cost accounting function, including standard cost development and variance analysis •Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports •Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes •Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures •Prepare and coordinate annual budget and forecasting processes •Coordinate with external auditors on audit and tax matters •Provide guidance and leadership to accounting staff

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance •7+ years of experience in cost accounting and general accounting •CPA or CMA certification preferred •Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles and practices •Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills •Excellent communication and leadership skills •Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks •Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Education:

•Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance •CPA or CMA certification preferred
