Provides outpatient therapy to adults and families for the purpose of improving the quality of life for the persons served.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
+ Provides services with professional enthusiasm that are welcoming, engaging and accessible. These services are recovery focused, strengths based, culturally competent, consumer centered, co-occurring capable, and trauma-informed. Works as part of treatment team to meet the needs of the consumer in a timely and thorough manner. Interacts with consumers in a respectful, genuine and professional manner.
+ Promotes an organizational culture within AFOS and NorthCare that values clinically excellent services, professionalism in presentation as a representative of AFOS and NorthCare, and is warm and engaging. Promotes such values within interactions with fellow staff, consumers and community partners; with office arrangement and site appearance; and with daily professional dress.
+ May provide clinical services at satellite sites to consumers enrolled with NorthCare contractors, including therapy services at Variety Care and assessment services at NorthRock Medication Clinic. Works collaboratively with contractor sites under the guidance and direction of NorthCare AFOS Program Manager and/or Supervisor as a professional representative of NorthCare and AFOS.
+ Performs intake interviews, which includes the gathering of information about the consumer's symptoms, behavior, functioning, history, needs, goals and preferences. Obtains necessary releases and consents and advises the consumers about their rights and responsibilities. Consults with other program staff, as needed, to facilitate referrals.
+ Conducts initial assessments on persons identified with alcohol or drug abuse/dependence and mental health disorders. Meets the requirements for Alcohol and Other Drugs Treatment Practitioner (AODTP) status and is familiar with the ASI, ASAM, and other instruments commonly used by substance abuse professionals and is certified/competent in their administration and interpretation.
+ Provides psychotherapy treatment using agency-approved, evidence-based practices that are consistent with the current treatment plan and with consumer needs and preferences, including Individual Therapy, Couples/Marital therapy, Family Therapy, and Group Therapy.
+ Provides Co-Occurring Counseling services utilizing a combination of educational and process oriented interventions using evidence-based practices. Topic areas might include, but are not limited to: disease concept, 12 step recovery model, relapse prevention, etc. Additional consultation and supervision for LADC may be sought, depending on the availability of an on-site, Board-approved supervisor.
+ Carries a differentiated caseload involving highly complex and difficult situations requiring intensive clinical services and extensive professional diagnostic and treatment experience. Caseload is assigned based on appropriate match of consumer to clinician, clinician's area of expertise, and clinician's level of training and experience in the treatment focus.
+ May serve consumers participating in the Oklahoma County Drug/DUI Court, Female Diversion and other court-related services, performing such functions including but not limited to attending weekly staffing, composing weekly court reports, and assessment of consumer's overall treatment progress.
+ Maintains clinical records in a timely manner, as required by agency, funding sources and accreditation authorities. Completes all required forms and maintains same in a manner consistent with requirements.
+ Provides crisis management to non-clients of the agency which may include face-to-face or telephone interviewing of the consumer; assessment of a consumer's lethality to self or others; assessment of a consumer's available support systems; and assistance in arranging for appropriate intervention, including hospitalization. In the cases where a potential for harm exists, will facilitate referral to qualified agency staff for the completion of program-approved clinical assessment tool.
+ Provides case management services for consumer, assisting then in obtaining needed benefits and resources, including, but not limited to, housing, employment, medical, recreation, social and family supports, nutritional information and medication. Establishes linkage with inpatient treatment teams and provides support services to consumers who are hospitalized and being discharges from hospitalizations. Must be knowledgeable of community resources and maintain positive working relationships with other agencies.
+ Facilitates referral of consumers into the appropriate agency program(s) or to another community provider. Schedules intake and medication clinic appointments for consumers referred into the agency.
+ Return phone calls and pages promptly and check and respond to email daily
+ Works with consumers to provide support through follow-up phone calls and engagement in peer support groups in order to support the recovery process and maintain engagement in services
+ Meets or exceeds the direct service productivity standard as established and reviewed by the Program Manager or Director of Adult Services.
+ Participates in weekly consultations and departmental staff meetings and as appropriate, provides clinical consultation and technical guidance to other professional staff.
+ Maintain professional competency in his/her discipline through appropriate professional readings, attendance at workshops and conferences and through consultation with other professionals. Employee will comply with all requirements to maintain professional licensure.
+ Maintains continuing education in current Co-Occurring treatment practices including but not limited to the Integrated Services Initiative and participates in continuing education activities.
+ Knowledgeable regarding: NorthCare's electronic record system and public folders; ODMHSAS Services manual, contract requirements, and benchmarks; National Outcome Measures (NOMS), Medicaid rules and regulations, contract requirements (including DUI/Drug Court and Female Diversion), and benchmarks.
+ May provide clinical supervision and technical guidance to other professional staff.
+ Performs other duties as required and/or assigned by the supervisor and or executive staff.
Position requires a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related human services field and licensure in the State Of Oklahoma, in one of the mental health disciplines or under Board approved supervision for licensure. Licensed LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LBP, or under supervision preferred; if licensed, employee must complete continuing education requirements to required for licensure maintenance. Candidate/employee must possess bachelor's degree and BHRS certification or provide verification of BHRS grandfathered status from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). Must be able to move about facilities freely and climb stairs. Must display proficiency in the MS Word processing software and intermediate general computer skills. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally with English-speaking consumers. Employee must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Casual professional dress is required with adherence to dress code requirements particular to the program as delineated by program manager or supervisor.
