The General Manager role is unique because it is filled with Administrative duties as well as being the team leader and running the show on a day-to-day basis as well as setting the right example for their Beverage Manager and Bar Manager. General Manager Roles / Responsibilities:

Managing Day to Day Business

  • Running Shifts Daily to ensure Customer Service Program Execution, Cleanliness Program Execution, and Overall Operations Executed to North High Brewing Standards. 
  • Overseeing Support Staff 
General Administration:

  • Managing COGS, Labor and setting monthly goals within teams to ensure all efforts are being made to hit goals each month. 
    • Monthly Assessments of the previous month's P&L to be reviewed with DOO. 
    • Weekly Assessments Discussed at Weekly Store Meetings 
  • Upkeep of Cleanliness Checklists for all FOH staff while ensuring best practices are being followed for the entire property. 
  • Toast: Creating and removing buttons to ensure day-to-day operations are cohesive. 
  • Financial Duties: 
    • Running Deposits To Bank 
    • Payroll - Facilitating bi-weekly payroll reports with HR. 
  • Booking Private Events  
    • Working with KM / Event Coordinator to Effectively Plan Events 
  • Guest Feedback Follow Up: Responding to all Reviews via Google, Yelp and Other to ensure all reviews are being met with grace and awareness. 
Cleanliness of Venue: 

  • Direct Contact for Cleaning Company - Coordinating deep cleaning tasks once a month. 
  • Working with internal teams to ensure cleanliness requirements are being met and overseeing daily cleanliness operations are taking place, including Front of House and Back of House including the inside and outside of the property. 
  • Performing a Weekly Walkthrough - Delegating Tasks to Support Staff. 
  • Creating and Implementing Cleanliness Program Systems are in place. 
    • Daily, Weekly, Quarterly 
  • Upkeep of Office and Dry Stock Organization - Delegation to Beverage Manager. 

  • Interviewing potential employees and processing applications for employment. 
  • Onboarding New Employees; Doyle HCM, Toast, Kickfin, EHX Payroll including the completion of Efficient Forms, Handbook Signage, Sexual Harassment Training and I9 completion prior to employees first day. 
Training; “Experience NHB Training Program”

  • Orientation with every new employee: Welcoming them with a Pint! 
  • Implementing North High Training Program for all new hires, Curating the process to fit the needs of our new hire. Following the checklist and ensuring they receive the very best in training prior to hitting the floor. 
    • Testing all new hires - must score an 80% or higher. 
  • Creating Ongoing Testing to be used to assess staff's weaknesses/strengths - then creating specific testing to help educate and create product knowledge. 

  • Working with Marketing / Event Coordinator to create marketing direction for the store and helping create marketing strategy per quarter. 
  • Upkeep of Social Media platforms while utilizing marketing strategy and posting schedule. 

Salary depending on experience level - Salary Range ($45-60K)
