Sous Chef

Highly skilled professional should have a minimum of 2-3 years Sous Chef experience in a fine dining Private club, Restaurant or Hotel. A culinary degree or comparable course completion certificate from a recognized institute is a requirement. Daily Duties and qualifications include, assigning daily tasks to the cooks, dishwashers and monitoring their progress. Assist in receiving and storing away deliveries. Work with Executive Chef on menu planning and food preparation. Expediting member/ guest orders and assure their prepared to spec. Placing food and kitchen supply orders. Open communication and cooperation with other department heads, managers, and staff to achieve member satisfaction is necessary. Nassau County food handlers course completion is a positive.
