A large portion of our business helps support refrigerated carriers that transport temperature-sensitive food and materials throughout North America.

Job Summary:

The Mobile Trailer Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance procedures and minor repairs on semi-trailers with little or no supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform annual DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor trailer repairs on-site at customer locations
• Work with the service manager to coordinate mobile repair schedule per customer needs
• Develop close working relationships with the mobile customer base to become the main point of contact
• Follow company best practices for repair quality and work safety
• Document labor time and parts used by repair order for proper billing
• Responsible for maintenance of mobile repair vehicle and tooling
• Complete written preventative maintenance and DOT inspection forms

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience with semi-trailer and/or class 8 truck maintenance
• Previous experience with trailer suspensions, air brake systems, welding, and +12 volt
• DOT certified or able to become certified
• Clean driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently with limited direction
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
