This position is a split-responsibility position – 60% Instruction and 40% Success Coach.

It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of course and program objectives and to contribute to the overall educational environment of the college and community and to provide related services such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development as well as other service support that is needed in the fulfillment of the North Central Texas College’s Mission.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Treats students and colleagues with respect.
• Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.
• Focuses on teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
Success Coach (40%)
• Conduct regular outreach efforts including workshops and class presentations to inform and engage students in student success strategies.
• Complete and maintain InsideTrack Student Coaching training and certification.
• Student Career and Education Case Management
• Student Participant Records/Documentation Maintenance
Master’s Degree in Biology with an emphasis in Human Anatomy or Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Biology with an emphasis in Human Anatomy.
Successful online instruction experience, mastery in varied LMS.
4+ years’ related work experience.
Community College and or Public School teaching experience preferred.
Online curriculum development and online teaching experience.
Required Skills & Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality.
Microsoft Office proficient.
Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.
Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of online delivery methods, principles and techniques.
Subject to criminal background check. Must maintain a weekly minimum of 35 hours. Employee may be required to travel between campuses and attend local and out-of-town meetings as necessary. Some teaching may be required on other NCTC campuses and/or other off-site locations. Resume, Cover Letter and Unofficial Transcripts required in addition to application.
