The NC Department of Health & Human Services- Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center has openings for Health Care Technicians (Certified Nursing Assistants) who will provide excellent care to our residents. Work is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: obtaining vital signs. training and assisting patients with activities of daily living. providing ongoing observation, interaction and feedback to residents. reporting concerns and recommendations to appropriate professional program staff. other duties as delegated by and completed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Starting Salary $15/hour ($31,200/year) Standard Work Schedule Shift Premium 1st shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM 5% Weekend 2nd shift: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM 20% Weekday & 25% Weekend 3rd shift: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM 20% Weekday & 25% Weekend If you are not currently certified, please consider the BMNTC in-house C.N.A. training program.

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they possess all the following: Ability to learn principles and practices of health care techniques for nursing assistants. Ability to learn safety measures. Ability to recognize patient needs and communicate them accurately. Ability to learn to follow hospital, unit and nursing policies and procedures. Ability to work with difficult patients while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. MANAGEMENT PREFERENCES: Experience working with individuals with developmental disorders and/or specialized dementia.
