Machinist

We are seeking a Machinist to join our team!
Summary:
Responsible for setting up, programming, operating all CNC/manual machinery as well as shop up-keep, equipment maintenance and improvements to support production and engineering
- Set up and operate CNC machinery to fabricate various parts
- Applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials and layout techniques
- Manage inventory in coordination with the Stockroom and Purchasing teams.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and common troubleshooting when a malfunction occurs
- Track and maintain raw material, fixture, and tooling log
- Responsible for the design and implementation of fixturing equipment for both engineering and production purposes
- Responsible for sourcing and maintaining tooling/equipment needed
- Interface with Engineering, Production, and Quality to control and meet tolerances needed.
- Interface with Purchasing team, external vendors/tool suppliers, including leading tooling and equipment quotes
- Implementation of 6S practice and techniques in machine shop
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Graduate and five (5) plus years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience utilizing manual vertical mill, CNC vertical mill, CNC horizontal mill, CNC lathe, and other common machine shop equipment
- Ability to program 3/4/5 axis CNC toolpaths from step files and 3D models using CAM software
- Ability to design create and build workholding fixtures/assemblies for use in a manufacturing environment
- Strong CAM programming experience/knowledge. Gibbscam preferred.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability and End-use Assembly
- Strong experience/knowledge in complex setups for reworking parts
· Demonstrated knowledge of materials, material strengths, and material uses
Language Skills
· Must have good oral and written communication skills

· Ability to take initiative and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
