Our client, a reputable community-based health care organization in Los Angeles County is seeking a HR Generalist to join their growing team. This organization offers a competitive salary, full benefits, and much more!
The Human Resources Generalist provides operational and administrative support within the Human Resources Business Services department and assists Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), Sr. HR Managers, and Director, Human Resources – Business Services on various client group requests. These requests may consist of or are related to talent acquisition, employee relations, Human Resources initiatives to support business strategies, new employee orientation, training and Human Resources policies and procedures.
  1. Responsible for processing all Notices of Separations, e-mailing separation documentation for the manager and employee and coordinating the issuance of the final paycheck.
  2. Responsible for sending Exit Interview survey links to departing staff and ensuring completion of these surveys prior to employee’s last date worked.
  3. Responsible for reviewing data that relates to Change in Status (CIS) forms, compensation changes and other types of Human Resources transactions.
  4. Provide HRBP support as needed in providing initial guidance to supervisors pertaining to disciplinary procedures, performance improvement plan including termination documentation, handling routine and the less complex actions independently.
  5. Responsible for maintaining the litigation tracker and responding to subpoenas as needed.
  6. Responsible for state and federal postings for all of the organization’s sites on an annual basis or as needed.
  7. Daily monitoring and escalation of emails from the HRBP inbox.
  8. Maintain the Employee Relations tracker and bring in new census data as needed.
  9. Provide guidance and interpretation to employees of Human Resources policies and procedures, Employee Handbook and refers employees to the organization’s Service Desk as needed.
  10. Supports HRBPs with various client related requests.
  11. Responsible for general HR project support as needed.
  12. Responsible for demonstrating a high-level of integrity and establishes a proactive approach to customer service requests.
  13. Escalate complex HR inquiries to HRBP, Sr. HR Manager, Director, Human Resources – Business Services as needed.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  3. A minimum of two or more years working within an HR department in a similar role required.
  4. Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.
