Sr. Machine Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Sr. Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance on milling, EDM and Swiss turning machines in a manufacturing environment. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, alignments, and installations.

Responsibilities (What You'll Do):

  1. Ensure all equipment and machinery is operating properly and safely following company's policies and safety procedures
  2. Complete machine repairs and perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules
  3. Assist with installation of new equipment and equipment moves
  4. Provide innovative solutions to improve machine function
  5. Maintain records and documentation
  6. Work with vendors and contractors as necessary
  7. Train new technicians
  8. Support facilities maintenance department with other requirements a needed

Skills / Experience (What You'll Need):

  • 5 or more years machine maintenance and repair experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience with milling, EDM and/or Swiss turning machines preferred
  • Must have solid working knowledge/experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC's)
  • Must be able to follow electrical schematics and ladder logic diagrams
  • Must understand hydraulic/pneumatics
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work in metric and standard dimensional systems
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and ability to work with teams to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to work safely and follow detailed work instructions required
  • Must be reliable and able to work on-call as needed
  • Must be available to work overtime and on weekends as needed
