The Plant Supervisorwill oversee 2nd shift operations, including multiple departments and buildings, ensuring production, safety, quality and delivery goals are met or exceeded. Responsibilities(WhatYou'll_Do) * Monitors production to ensure quality and production goals are met or exceeded. * Ensures safety of employees and security of facilities.
* Ensures policies, procedures and work instructions are followed. * Assists department supervisors and leads as needed. * Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and participates in projects related to continuous improvement.
* May serves as an internal auditor and / or perform inspections as required. * Prepares and submits reports to keep the VP of Manufacturing, Director of Operations and others informed about the status of production activities * Trains new employees, re-trains and / or re-certifies employees as necessary * Communicates key information to 2nd shift personnel as needed. * May interact with customers, vendors and others as necessary.
Skills/Experience(WhatYou'll_Need) * Five or more years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment * Working knowledge of production processes and quality control concepts * Training experience (specific to manufacturing/production employees) * Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and communicate with all levels of the organization, and the ability to motivate, develop, and direct others. * Outstanding planning and organizational skills * Excellent time management skills * Demonstrated work history illustrating trust and integrity * Self-motivation * The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines * Computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and related programs. Epicor or similiar MRP experience required.
* Solid problem-solving skills * Ability to make decisions and recommendations * Demonstrated ability to be flexible, yet also follow established policies and procedures * Position is hands-on.
