Quality Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer for a well-established manufacturing company in the Westbury area. This is an exciting new opportunity that will lead the development of new programs. There will be a lot of room for advancement and career growth.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 plus benefits

Overview of duties:

Work diligently to solve quality problems, support new development programs, and conduct internal audits.

Responsibilities:

• Drive quality KPI's: Which include, Customer Scorecards, Supplier Performance Internal Audit Risk and Effectiveness, and Contract Review.
• Plan and perform internal quality audits and execute action items.·
• Ensure that designs meet applicable quality requirements, partnering closely with engineers and reviewing designs.
• Conduct quality investigations and report on findings
• Monitor the progress of quality programs through manufacturing and into production
• Lead quality initiatives to reduce scrap and rework
• Participate in the material review board.
• Provide quality function support by working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to manage customer relations, expectations, needs, and satisfaction.
• Work with leadership on the success of the Zero Defects Program
• Work with the team on Source Inspection projects.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
• 8+ plus years working in the aerospace and or automotive industry
• In-depth knowledge of PPAP and APQP
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
