Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician ensures that facilities and equipment are in good repair and working order.  Works in cooperation with Engineering and Production staff to perform equipment maintenance and repairs, maintain facility and grounds, and implement equipment, tooling, and process improvements.

Responsible for demand, preventive and predictive maintenance work that does not require a licensed contractor. 

Troubleshoots and repairs electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems in automated manufacturing machines and related equipment.

May operate machining equipment and other industrial tools to repair, modify, or fabricate items.  This includes but is not limited to, mills, lathes, drills, saws, welder equipment, soldering equipment, sanders, and routers.

Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed.

Assists in maintaining inventory records of tools, equipment, spare parts, production supplies, janitorial supplies, facility maintenance supplies, machine shop supplies.  Maintains minimum quantities of stock items at all times.

Assists with sourcing tools, equipment, machine parts, production supplies, janitorial supplies, machine shop supplies, and maintenance supplies.

Participates in 5S/Safety and Kaizen projects.

Maintains all relevant documentation related to maintenance, inventories, and improvement projects.
