Sr. Project Manager (90% Remote)
Nimbus is looking for an independent self-starter with outstanding organizational and program management skills, a strategic thinker, and a natural collaborator for a Senior Project Manager role who will be
- Responsible for maximizing the product's value from the project team's work.
- Provides project management expertise and customer support on one or more complex programs and projects.
- Provides support and assistance on various strategic business planning, continuous improvement, technology-based, and data model projects.
- Develops and executes complex technical tasks and applies analytical problem-solving methodologies.
- Understands and acknowledges engagement requirements and protocols documented and described by the client agency/program.
- Coordinate work efforts within work streams across the model or project team and report on status as appropriate.
- Drive communication between client stakeholders, team members, and vendor resources to establish a collaborative environment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Bridge communication gaps across professionally and experientially diverse stakeholders and groups.
- Develops and actively manages master project schedule integrating all related workstreams, design, development, and operations activities related to the project.
- Monitors adherence to program management guidance and directives issued on specific projects.
- Ensures projects are completed in compliance with the agreed subcontracts, purchase agreements, plans & specifications, and approved changes.
- Ensures that all projects are planned and carried out with maximum efficiency.
- Develops and tracks project schedule and cost performance; ensures profit and loss management as needed.
- Provides support and assistance for strategic business planning.
- Monitors adherence to program management guidance and directives issued on specific projects.
- Prepares project reports and presentations for program and project status meetings.
Qualification / Skills / Abilities -
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Business, Information Systems, Public Health, or related disciplines.
- Minimum twelve overall years' experience, eight being direct Project Management experience, including management of cross-organizational project(s).
- Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Excel, Jira, Confluence, and/or equivalents.
- Project Management Institute (PMI®) Certification of Project Management Professional (PMP) is strongly preferred.
- Agile methodology experience and credentials are strongly preferred.
- Communicate effectively and interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work with federal customers and manage and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, schedule and organize all aspects of a project.
- Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements.
- Must be able to communicate with outside vendors for the completion of specific projects.
- A solid working knowledge of scheduling tools, including Microsoft Project, is required.
The successful candidate will be expected to effectively interact with stakeholders, management, fellow team members from the Federal sector, and other contractors in developing data management and business process solutions that ensure the organization's needs are met. Must be familiar with the principles and guidelines of PMI® and possess strong organizational and communication skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other team members. Periodic on-site work with clients is required.
