Responsible for the development, improvement, and implementation of new and existing manufacturing processes and equipment. Interface with design and engineering to coordinate the testing and release of new products. Perform research and data collection as required to support continuous process improvement and resolve production and vendor issues. Develop, maintain, and manage tools and methods used in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new and existing product lines. Assist in any vendor audits and qualification processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred.
5 – 7 years of experience in production technical support and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Gage R&R, SPC, DOE, RCFA, FMEA, and correlation studies.
General wafer test floor and Probe Card experience is a plus. Experience operating wafer probers strongly preferred, especially TEL Precio .
Experience with Continuous Improvement, 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies is strongly preferred.

Experience with change implementation and ability to win support for new ideas required.
Strong engineering and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
Project management experience preferred, ideally with a stage gate project management framework.
Ability to work in teams is extremely important and highly desired.
Strong communication (verbal and written English), organization, and time management skills required.
Must be hands-on, meticulous and detailed, and possess good business acumen.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Act as a resource to both engineering and manufacturing in the testing, development, and industrialization of new products, as well as in continuous improvement to the capability and quality of existing products and processes.
Collect and analyze production data, and assist in implementation of control plans and tracking of metrics. Drive changes in processes and procedures while working with other members of internal and external teams.
Provide technical support to production, engineering, and quality. Utilize and support / troubleshoot custom manufacturing and metrology equipment.
Employ Design of Experiments methodology and other studies / methods when applicable to the improvement or development of products / processes / equipment, for optimization of performance and cost, or in trouble shooting product or process issues.
Perform Gage R&R studies when needed for new equipment, as part of an investigation or as part of the overall process optimization strategy.
Assist with qualification test runs, SPC data tracking, and problem solving and root cause identification.
Perform failure analysis by analyzing data extensively and looks for trends and anomalies. Run structured experiments to verify the failure mode and validate theories.
Support sales and field applications on technical questions.
Exercise judgement and decision making within defined procedures and practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Limited domestic and international travel may be required.
