Job Description

Account Management:

Within the assigned region is responsible for the customer relationship management with the existing customers, expanding the share of wallet with the customer, identifying projects within NIS strategic verticals, securing positioning on customers’ vendors lists and bidder lists, defending the installed base, securing LTSA, and selling field service, spares, upgrades and replacement of existing Nidec equipment as well brown field replacement of motors and VFDs and all DC motors.

Position Summary:

This individual will be responsible for managing and developing customers in the assigned geography while achieving sales quota for the NIS systems and service businesses. The individual should expect an extended training period (4-8 months) in our Cleveland Ohio headquarters followed by transfer to the assigned region.  Final location is the assigned region with residence in the proximity of a major airport.

Essential Job Functions

·        Create, maintain and achieve sales plan objectives.

·        Determine and grow share-of-wallet of customer spending on NIS systems and service areas.

o   Win every project in the account for which NIS has a solution.

o   Protect installed base.

o   Sell field service and revamps/upgrades to existing customers.

o   Prospect for the replacement of other OEM equipment as part of the Service offerings.

o   Aware of competitor product/service activity in accounts and taking counter measures.

o   Ensure inclusion on vendor lists and bidder lists.

o   Maintain prices for OEM customer, minimum annual review and update.

·        Support Industry Managers to prospect in target growth accounts.

·        Perform the Sales Role responsibilities as documented in the project management system in order to control the fulfillment of obligations to the Customer in accordance with the schedule.

·        Lead preparation of technical and commercial offers (budget and full) including technical risk assessment. Review bidding to ensure accuracy and supply to meet customer objectives.

·        Work with Marketing Team to execute marketing programs, staff trade shows and perform lead follow-up.

·        Travel 70% within the assigned territory.

Requirements

·        A minimum 2-year technical degree is required, Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred

·        Experience with industrial automation products including motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs preferred

·        Interested in growing income through sales of drive and automation systems.

·        Passion for creating new customers

·        Communications - written and oral, technical and commercial
