This position has the primary responsibility for supporting the Inventory Control functions in the Distribution Center, as well as the BPCS reconciliation functions in the Mooresville Plant. This includes meeting targeted objectives in the areas of safety, quality, inventory accuracy, communication, continuous improvement, and waste control of the value stream to which they are assigned. As part of this responsibility the incumbent is responsible for directing staff in the performance of their job tasks and responsibilities.
This position is responsible to plan, guide, coordinate and communicate all inventory related issues in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs in order to achieve value stream performance objectives. Support training and development of Associates in the Distribution Center. Ensure that all required operator certifications are complete and current. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES DATA ENTRY & INTEGRITY: * Validate all adjustments made by team through training, coaching and best practices * Monitor WMS vs.
BPCS to make sure that inventory is correct in each system and make necessary adjustments. * Reconcile entries on the error file as they occur. * Required to complete all training for any associate with access to make inventory adjustments in both WMS and BPCS. REPORTING & ANALYSIS: * Investigate/respond to audit requests from Accounting, Supply Chain, QA, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Finance. * Analyze/trend problem inventory and report opportunities to DC management team * Trend Warehouse utilization of space on monthly basis and provide improvement plans to DC Manager for implementation. * Report problem items and processes based on trend analysis to DC management team. * Utilize the appropriate support personnel to resolve issues effectively and efficiently CLIENT ENGAGEMENT: * Process and complete all RMAs, reconcile inventory and report out. * Respond to Client and Customer Service requests * Participate in external audits TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: * Manage and execute physical inventory * Manage Cycle counting process to maintain pick slot integrity and inventory accuracy. * Manage OS&D process with reporting on all inbound discrepancies to the DC. SPECIAL PROJECTS: * Responsible for identifying, training and developing BPCS users across supervision and clerical staff in the DC and the Mooresville plant. * Lead Kaizen events per schedule. * Evaluate obsolete items, item profile, and case pick line. * Lead WMS upgrade and implementation team from the Distribution perspective * Other projects/duties as assigned by the DC Manager/Supply Chain Manager PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS * Meet or exceed inventory accuracy goals for the DC * Timely and accurate completion of Cycle Count and Count Audit Schedules * Timely investigation and completion of financial audits Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Include minimum qualifications for formal training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or working experience. Identify the level of knowledge; skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required to perform the essential job responsibilities and duties competently. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or GED Must maintain forklift certification Associates degree in business or supply chain management preferred or equivalent experience REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WMS, BPCS; Advanced Excel skills EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years of business experience in one of the following areas; Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Distribution Center Operations SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must have exceptional time management, task management and organizational skills. Must be able to clearly manage and distribute large volumes of information effectively.
