Nexus IT is looking to hire an IT Systems and Support Engineer Professional, whose primary responsibility is to manage and maintain our client’s networks. When performed expertly, our clients are provided with white-glove desktop, server, and IT systems support and cybersecurity services. Ensuring 100% client satisfaction by quickly resolving incidents that our clients open tickets for and by constantly monitoring the alerts generated by our tools to resolve incidents before our clients are aware.

Expected Outcomes:
· Success in this position will be based on your ability to meet or exceed our client’s expectations and by exceeding the SLA (Service Level Agreements) put in place for various agreements.
· Engineers are graded on the profitability of the client agreements and on the quality and quantity of closed tickets, speed of ticket closure, and first-time ticket resolution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Tier 1 IT Support Engineer position is a key contributor in the success of managing our client’s networks. This is achieved by quickly resolving incidents that our clients open tickets for and by constantly monitoring the alerts generated by our tools to resolve incidents before our clients are aware. This includes a wide range of technologies, which require general and specific technical expertise in many areas including:

· Server and workstation hardware and software, including Windows, Linux, and Mac
· Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR)
· Cyber Security Defense and Unified Threat Management (UTM)
· Security Monitoring, including SOC and SIEM
· Maintenance of IT Systems
· Installation, service, troubleshooting and repair
· Operating System installation and configuration
· Cloud and virtualization using VMWare and other technologies
· Firewall, Router, Switch installation and configuration
· Centrally Managed WiFi – Mesh, PtP, and PtMP Solutions
· Office 365
· Server Technologies such as Exchange, SQL, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, etc.
· VoIP Phone System install, configuration, repair, and support
· Web Hosting configuration, repair, and support
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Ability to effectively listen and communicate with team members, partners, and clientele, including excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated.
· Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on each ticket.
· Basic knowledge in servers, routers, layer 2/3 switches, and other networking devices.
· General knowledge in managing Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Networks.
· Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems and Applications.
· Ability to remain in contact with the client through satisfactory completion of tickets.
· Problem-solving abilities, and ability to meet reasonable deadlines.
· Willingness and commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
· Ability to work with little supervision.
· Ability to successfully train the client on the new solution(s) implemented.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
· A+ Certification is required.
· NET+ Certification is preferred.
· Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field is preferred.
· 1+ years’ experience in computer and network management is required.
· Experience in managing end client networks is preferred.
Working Conditions:
· Normal professional, office environment.
