Clinical Research Billing Associate - Beverly Hills, CA

Compensation: $30 - $40 an hour

Nexus HR is looking for a Clinical Research Billing Associate, for a reputable client in the Beverly Hills, CA area. The ideal Clinical Research Billing Associate will have at least 2 years of experience in research, billing, or healthcare administration, preferably with sponsored oncology clinical research trials, and three years of experience in Medicare Coverage Analysis.

About the Job

Our Client is a Cancer Center searching for a reliable, dedicated, and experienced Clinical Research Billing Associate to join their growing team in Beverly Hills, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bill and collect for clinical research patient’s standard of care services.

• Work closely with insurances to achieve timely billing and collection.

• Ensure billing compliance by determining how clinical research protocol items and services are billed per federal agency guidelines through the conduct of Medicare Coverage Analysis.

• Perform quality control and quality assurance measures over clinical research billing (trial opening to close-out).

• Post Research payments and breakdowns in the EMR

• Conduct financial reconciliation for all services provided to research patients (reviewing and comparing services captured in CTMS and EMR) to achieve billing compliance.

• Provide financial counseling for research patients upon consenting and during study participation on trial coverage and patient responsibility.

• Bill out Standard of Care (SOC) services, coding certification preferred.

• Obtain authorization for oncology treatments given within clinical trials as standard of care and handles denials.

• Report to Director of Clinical Research Operations and will work closely with the billing team, finance team, authorization and the clinical research team.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in research, billing, or healthcare administration

• 3 years of experience in Medicare Coverage Analysis

• Experience with sponsored oncology clinical research trials

• High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred

• Clinical Trial Billing Certified required

• Experience with the use of Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS), preferably RealTime CTMS.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to policies and procedures.

• Able to work in Beverly Hills, CA

• Authorized to work in the US
