Drop-In Program Manager

Classification: Non-exempt, 32-40 hours

Reports to: Director of Programs

Supervisory Responsibilities: Program staff

Travel: None

Salary: $35,000.00 + Based on Education and Experience


Job Summary: Drop-In Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the program is running efficiently. If you are looking to make a difference in someone’s life, this could be the place for you. Make it fun while beneficial. Manager works with the team to complete deliverables and monitor results.

Essential functions:

· Must be at the office Tuesday – Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm to interact with participants and ride transportation.

· Able to provide information to members about appropriate resources and make referrals

· Always maintain program area in a clean and tidy manner

· Crisis intervention as necessary

· Create and manage long-term goals for the program including member satisfaction, safety quality, and team member performance

· Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement

· Help develop a budget and operating plan for the program

· Help with special events planning

· Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved

· Maintain current and accurate files (Intake, Emergency Contacts, progress, etc.)

· Manage a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities

· Meet with team regularly regarding project issues and decisions on services

· Organize activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the program

· Participate in webinars and other training

· Produce accurate and timely reporting of program

· Provide office support as necessary

· Research funding opportunities to expand the program

· Resolve issues among team members

· Ride group transportation

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment

· Able to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate

· Analytical and problem-solving skills

· Cultural sensitivity, able to work with diverse populations

· Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English

· Good people skills with a positive attitude

· Maintain professional ethics, boundaries, confidentiality, and best practices

· Punctual with strong attendance history

· Sound judgment with the ability to handle crisis situations

· Verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience:

· Psychology related bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years equivalent experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

· Moving around among groups of people

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
