Role overview

We are looking for an Account Director who is passionate about technology marketing to support our agency client services team on a variety of disciplines including PR, social media and advertising. You will manage client programs and provide strategic counsel to clients alongside daily communications. Reporting to and being supported by our VP of Client Services & Strategy, you will lead a portfolio of client teams, manage junior staff, and participate in new business growth and agency initiatives.

As an Account Director, you will:

• Plan and implement strategic PR programs, social media programs for brands and executives, and integrated programs across multiple service areas
• Develop plans and goals and set quarterly/yearly metrics based on our goals and anecdotal program performance
• Oversee reporting, analysis and program optimization
• Lead status/strategy calls with clients; manage client relationships; oversee integrated programs
• Guide junior staff and direct reports on daily responsibilities
• Oversee financial management and time forecasting for your portfolio of accounts
• Be the primary client contact for strategic counsel, while elevating and guiding your teams toward leading strategy themselves
• Conduct and direct the team on media pitching and placement for announcements, launches, and active storytelling outreach
• Understand the media landscape and actively monitor for new opportunities, guiding the team to ensure client-specific media lists are on target and updated
• Ensure your teams establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and media
• Secure and manage briefings and schedules, and serve as clients' PR representative during briefings
• Manage writing/editing of PR materials and other content
• Manage social media strategy and oversee your team's execution

You'll bring:

• 5+ years of experience in PR/Social Media/Advertising
• Experience in strategic PR and organic social media strategy
• Your experience managing advertising, direct marketing and collateral or a genuine desire and commitment to learn them
• Experience within agency environments and B2B technology clients
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant business experience
