What will you do?

The Master Data Systems Manager (MDSM) will lead Next Level Apparel in creating and maintaining a single master record for all critical business data from across internal and external data sources and applications. 

This individual will be responsible for collecting and organizing operational data from existing data and converting and implementing a Single Master Data system within current legacy data warehouses and for migration and implementation within Microsoft Dynamics.

Reports directly to the VP of Supply Chain. 

Position located in Next Level Apparel corporate office: Gardena, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and identify sources of master data

  • Identify the producers and consumers of the master data

  • Collect and analyze metadata for the master data

  • Work with cross functional data stewards

  • Clean and standardize master data

  • Implement a data governance program 

  • Develop the master data model, strategy and initiatives

  • Design & implement the infrastructure

  • Implement the maintenance processes

  • Ensure master data integrity, quality, control, compliance and consistency

Are you qualified for this position?

The successful candidate will have five or more years of Master Data Management or supply chain experience in manufacturing. Must have end to end supply expertise, demonstrate & implement process improvements and maintaining measurable metrics. Candidate will have demonstrable accomplishments of Master Data Management KPIs which lead to timely account requests, expedited data inquires, increased accuracy, completeness, timeliness and on time customer and product setup levels both internally and externally.

KPI’s include but are not limited to:

  1. Data quality & accuracy

  2. Adherence to data management standards and processes

  3. Reduction in risk events

  4. Reduction in data rectification costs

  5. Uptime for set up of product, vendors, customers

Ideally we would like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data management

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred

  • Successful experience in migration and implementation of ERP systems

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong ability to lead a team and successfully execute to achieve project, team, individual & company goals

  • Strong ability to build effective & collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and evaluate processes to determine if the refinements would enhance speed of results and productivity or quality. 

  • Ability to drive continuous improvements.

  • Strategic thinker and possesses business acumen

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in the US and oversees

  • Demonstrates leadership, diplomacy, decisiveness, and results oriented

  • Ability to thrive and execute in a fast paced & entrepreneurial culture and quickly adapts to change in priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills, with ability to convey ideas clearly using technology

Language: English (Required), Spanish a plus

Travel: 10% outside of country
