Senior Systems Engineer

Position Overview
This position is part of Application algorithm team developing Controls and Software logic for ECU applications including Body Controls and Engine Controls

The Engineer will also have exposure to or participate in the development of closed loop vehicle HIL system that is a critical tool in controls development and test.

Roles And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Development of control algorithms utilizing embedded software development process

Define CAN system requirements and interface specifications

Develop vehicle topology / network architecture

Develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

Write and/or review system and subsystem specifications and requirements from vehicle/customer level requirements

Development of system requirements, design, simulation, and tests of various mechatronic systems

Development of appropriate documentation to support process compliance

Collaborate with functional safety engineers and integrate safety requirements into system design

Lead / participate in issue resolution activities during development, validation, and vehicle launch

Utilization of systems development tools and processes Embedded software development experience

Engineering tool MatLab, Simulink, MS Visio, INCA calibration tool, Software configuration management tools

Software programming language such as C/C++, embedded software development and testing tools (Canalyzer, HILs etc.)

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

At least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies

At least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies

OR

Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

At least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies

At least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies
