API Developer Programmer Contract

Our Dynamics TMS solution is a complete enterprise transportation management planning and execution suite that enables transportation professionals to make effective and efficient business decisions. The software can be quickly deployed, whether you choose our On-Premises, SaaS or Hosted-On Demand models to manage a single company or multiple divisions. Our TMS is written using the most current agile development tools and can be easily integrated into all major ERP suites.

Job DescriptionThe API developer will be responsible for developing push and pull API REST services between Dynamics TMS and data integration partners. These partners may be external or internal applications or vendors. The interfaces must be securely designed using Microsoft Azure authentication on the TMS side and compatible with the partners security model following industry best practices.

The developer must be able to use a variety of frameworks and development tools, including C#, JSON, REST, LINQ, and .Net Framework 4.6 or newer. Development will be performed using Visual Studio 2019 or newer.

Responsibilities

• Developer will access partners API specifications and create new logic in the TMS system to push data following an existing data structure.
• Developer will implement pull functionality associated with scheduled tasks to retrieve available updates.
• Developer will create secure API services to allow partners to push date into TMS, provide data validation and authentication. Developer will call CRUD operations to existing SQL Data Access libraries using LINQ technologies.
• Developer will provide documentation on each API with a process flow in Word or Visio flow chart.
