Newell Brands is seeking a results-oriented VP, Global Supply Chain Operations to lead the End-to-End Supply Chain for the Home Fragrance (HF) business. This is a pivotal and transformational role that requires a dynamic, experienced Supply Chain leader with a strong foundation of culture change and continuous improvement.
The VP, Global Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership, development and organizational structure of an integrated global supply chain in North America and Europe. The VP is responsible for the development and execution of core SC operational excellence, tools, processes and capabilities. This key member of the HF Executive team will lead the development and implementation of business-focused supply chain initiatives that drive continuous improvement throughout the business as well as identify global supply chain solutions to create a sustainable competitive advantage in cost, cash, safety, quality and service.

Scope of responsibility includes:

As part of the executive team, this position is accountable for:
Managing annual budget and capital spend across HF manufacturing footprint
Drive supply chain to achieve optimal performance at the lowest cost of ownership
Lead a global team of assigned direct reports to execute operational responsibilities across the Division
Partner with the Supply Chain COE to deliver Strategic priorities
Deliver annual productivity objectives
Participate in the Newell Brands Supply Chain Community
Develop the supply chain talent pool in partnership with the division leadership and Center
Provide monthly status and performance updates to Sr. Leadership
Facilitate the development of Home Fragrance Continuous Improvement Master Plan to deliver long and short-term business objectives through system deployment and capability building focused on alignment, the elimination of waste, and 100% employee engagement
Deliver results/value across Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, Cost
Align CI initiatives with the Overarching Strategic Plan and PEAK implementation strategy
Champion continuous improvement culture to meet or exceed business goals
Other tasks as assigned by management and the corporate organization
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or Business
10 years Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations experience
A willingness to work as a "player/coach"-personally executing; as well as, leading others.
A proven track record of operational delivery in supply chain across manufacturing, distribution, transportation, planning, and customer service.
Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing and warehouse operations in a variety of facilities including those with automated capabilities in a global environment.
Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Six Sigma, or TPM to deliver annual productivity goals.
Demonstrated ability to think creatively, generate options, build consensus, and execute.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Aptitude for both strategic thinking and detail-oriented operational management
Able to understand and think strategically and implement long term plans; can handle both long term and short-term goals simultaneously
Strong presentation and overall communication skills from Shop floor to senior executive
Quick response and proactive mindset to drive results while improving the sites to the next level
Ability to lead/drive change, and influence/mentor others to deliver immediate results
Proven ability to create vision, benchmark and develop compelling strategies across a global organization
Demonstrated experience in Factory and sourcing environment with specific focus in Asia Pacific/ China sourcing
Proven ability as a productive and collaborative executive team member
Strong evidence of developing talent and leading an organization to excellence
Proven ability to effectively lead and manage within a fast-paced, high-growth, complex organization, with global operations and relationships
Experienced in establishing performance metrics, motivating and holding people accountable for results
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships across the organization to identify business needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
