Position Overview:
The Strategic Analytics (SA) team is a core business support unit within the Business Operations department of NYCEDC's Asset Management (AM) Division. The Associate is responsible for division-wide oversight of budgeting, financial analysis, training and policy, and process improvement, especially as it relates to leveraging available technologies to streamline and automate tasks. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, be diligent in their work, and eager to diversify their skill sets especially in the fields of business intelligence, operations, and real estate management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the refinement of internal and external business intelligence products, including senior level reporting, front-line data collection, and back end structural development
- Develop and provide training and customer support for both front-line and senior management customers
- Cultivate and maintain familiarity with our assets and the people who manage and maintain them
- Provide support for projects in the form of data collection, document drafting, process mapping, interviewing, and data analysis.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or at least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, and/or data management real estate, finance, asset management, management consulting, data management and/or related field
- Familiarity with various Office.365 Applications including Sharepoint, Teams, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Lists
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to function under minimal supervision, managing time, integrating feedback, and reporting progress without prompting
- Fluency with the MS Office suite of software
- New York City residency (required within 180 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real estate, finance, asset and/or property management
- MRI (or similar software such as Yardi) familiarity and experience
- New York City government experience
- PMP Certification
