The purpose of this document is to briefly describe the position and responsibilities of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. It does not include all components of the job as it is an evolving position, but seeks to provide a thorough overview of the activities and responsibilities of the role.

Essential Key Functions and Accountabilities: (Responsibilities and major tasks performed)

  • Provide onsite troubleshooting and process assessments. Work with associates and other support functions to develop action registers to improve process deficiencies.
  • Drive business unit standardization in process, training, troubleshooting, and equipment configuration.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and improvement of Standard Work in the manufacturing processes
  • Assist with output and efficiency improvements across all technologies and equipment, through improvement in MOEE, lean-flow projects, 5-S activities, and other improvement initiatives
  • Assist with processing for parts trials and PPAP's.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all trials, plant support activities and projects.
  • Support Plant operations priorities in a focused manner to drive sustained operational improvements.
  • Participate in the Capital Planning and Execution process.
  • Develop technology teams and user groups for common issues. Coordinate meetings and action plans.
  • Provide technical support to the plant and staff.

Experience and Education Required:

4-year degree or equivalent experience

4 years minimum experience in related field

(R) Experience with Microsoft Office Products
