This position is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company procedures and standards, generating sales, merchandising, marketing, safeguarding company assets, working collaboratively with related agency staff to oversee and address ongoing needs of vocational skills program or trainees, and being responsible for all store operations in the absence of the store manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the store point person in working most directly with the vocational skills program trainees (students, interns, clients) and in overseeing their work at Silverlining. Work collaboratively with school and other agency staff to ensure that the needs of both the store as well as the trainees are being addressed.
- Responsible for coordination and scheduling of trainees, identifying special needs, ensuring skills or appropriate task training is occurring, and providing task or work assignments. Engage in ongoing evaluation and collaborative problem solving to successfully address store and/or trainee issues or needs.
- Complete and properly submit any required case notes, reports and/or documentation.
- Maintain solid product knowledge, responsible for coordination of online sales, shipping, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all store procedures, rules and expectations
- Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping,
- Assist in selecting, preparing, processing and/or replenishing merchandise and donations
- Monitoring floor stock.
- Assist in completing price changes within the store.
- Assist in ringing up sales at registers and/or bagging merchandise.
- Provide donors with donation receipts
- Promote guest book, mailing list ,sales events, and facebook
- Any other tasks as assigned
SKILLS AND COMPETANCIES
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Ability to communicate with associates, trainees, and customers
- Ability to read, write and count in order to accurately provide reports, documentation, and money reconciling
- Desire and ability to work well with adolescents, young adults and adults with autism spectrum disorder, learning challenges, and other special needs
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other Help Group staff
- Bilingual English / Spanish highly desirable
REQUIREMENTS
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, and perform all functions as set forth above
- Ability to coordinate and maintain online sales in addition to in person sales
- Ability to work varied hours; including evenings and Saturdays
